Vintage Empire Blow Mold Nativity Set Jesus Wisemen Sheep Shepherd Mary Joseph
Hello people who want to remind people where Christmas all began. I bought this Vintage Empire Blow Mold Nativity Set at an estate sale. Contains baby Jesus, his crib, 3 Wisemen , 2 Sheep, a Shepherd and Mary and Joseph. Also, includes the box. But the box has seen better days. Has water stains and wear and tare. The box does tell me that the set was originally bought at Woolco in 1972. The blow molds are in used condition and not perfect. Most of them have places of paint loss. The blue wise man is the worse. His paint flakes in areas if you arent careful. But An amateur electrician did a hack job on one of the sheeps cords and the babys and cradle cord. They both need a new cord or you may meet Jesus sooner then you think. Im just including those cords so you can see how they use to look. Baby Jesuss cords fit in funny. Not sure if that was another hack job or just time taking its toll. Also, one of those sheep has a plastic platform that I dont think was original. But it can be removed if you want. This is how I bought it. So I dont even know if the pieces are original to the set. Like on the box Jesus is blue. This one is yellow. Looks the same though. So basically what Im saying is that these were well loved and spent some winters out doors celebrating the birth of Jesus. They are vintage, so not perfect. Kinda like me at 50 years old. They arent too tall. Biggest piece is about 23 inches. All that being said, they are a wonderful set. Warms your heart and gets you in the holiday spirit. Its USA made and probably be around a lot longer then we will. This was a pain in the Butt to list, so make sure you look at those photos. Just In case I missed anything. Feel free to ask questions.
