Vintage 1994 Empire 44 Blow Molded Christmas Church with Steeple, Dual Lights
From Empire Brand’s 1994 Christmas Catalog. 44 Inch Tall Blow-molded Snow-covered “Church with Steeple” #1475. Retro vibes for your indoor or outdoor Christmas decor. Designed as a snow-covered church exterior with spots of shingles and surrounding green shrubbery peeking through the snow. The sides and steeple with “stained glass” provided added color and interest. The church entryway depicts red carpeted stairs leading to an arched entrance wtih two large wooden doors, each decorated with evergreen wreaths with bright red ribbons. Illuminated church is configured with two light bulbs for extra bright display. With today’s LEDs, you could really light this baby up using a light strip or other multiple bulb insert. Requires power supply when using original installed light kit. New or additional light kits available from Empire. Lightweight – it only weighs 13 lbs. Crafted at Empire’s factory in North Carolina, USA. Perfect for your front yard or lawn, porch or even your roof top. This church is in relatively excellent condition with the following defects. Replace missing steeple cross with any extended length cross of sealed wood, plastic or other material that will fit into the notch set into the top of the steeple. (I haven’t seen any one of these for sale with the cross, which were likely lost to time). One side of the church has one stained glass insert missing. This is made from colored gel sheeting which can easily be recontructed with gel sheets from a craft store. A very small puncture in one corner of the steeple – see photo with circle highlighting issue. Original Empire Christmas Catalog piece is a must-have for collectors and holiday enthusiasts alike.
